Many of the MPCT Learners supported by the charity are from disadvantaged homes and most have never travelled outside the UK. An aim of our charity is to provide educational experiences to further develop these individuals and previous tours have proved to be very effective. However, due to the Covid crisis, Learner fundraising has been greatly reduced and it has become necessary to raise additional funds to cover the tour planned for May of 2021.

Localised Learner fundraising events will resume at colleges once Covid restrictions permit. However, many events planned during the crisis have been cancelled and will lead to a predicted shortfall in income and may lead to the cancellation of the tour. A major fundraising effort is planned by the Board of Trustees to avoid this. The Big Give Christmas Challenge is part of this effort.
