BAC is passionate about supporting young people from all backgrounds, helping them to feel creatively & socially empowered. The Covid-19 crisis has created a ‘lost generation’. BAC will support local young people in South London to come together to be creative, learn skills and make performances.

Situation
Government research shows that young people (18-30) will be the ‘lost generation’ as a result of the Covid-19 crisis with very little access to work/ education options. Mental wellbeing in this age group is an ongoing challenge and has been further compounded by the crisis and the social isolation that many have faced. Challenges are particularly manifest in marginalised groups of young people (e.g. BAME/ LGBTQ+/ Disabled).
Solution
BAC will deliver powerful and impactful programmes in 2021 for those young people most impacted by the Covid-19 crisis in our South London community; through our Beatbox Academy and through platforms for young people and youth activism @ BAC. BAC already has strong connections with our community and established youth programmes such as BAC Beatbox Academy and The Agency, providing a robust structure and leaders for this work.
