A safe place where they can be themselves and get support - psychological and physical - through 1:1 sessions, groups, talks and techniques they learn for themselves.

    Situation

1 in 3 will receive a diagnosis of cancer and it impacts your whole world and that of your surrounding family. Cancer still evokes fear, and patients start the NHS clinical pathway, but emotionally there continues to uncertainty and anxiety no matter the prognosis. Following their experts’ advice to navigate the NHS treatment cycle often leaves them feeling out of control and carrying a level of fear and worry, and changes to their body through surgery, and effects of chemo and radiotherapy.

    Solution

Our support provides clients with a safe place to express their concerns, anxieties, worries. We support them coming to terms with their diagnosis; coping with the effects of chemo and radio therapies; the effects of surgery; as well as coping with the aftershocks, when all the treatment has finished and the enormity of what has happened hits home. By 1:1 therapeutic sessions, groups, workshops and talks designed to give the client access to tips and techniques they can use themselves at home.
