Dementia is a devastating, constantly evolving condition which has a huge impact on everyone it touches. It is a growing problem and with an aging population, diagnosis rates are increasing. Every 3 minutes someone in the UK will develop dementia, 1 in 14 people over the age of 65 develop dementia, and 1 in 6 people aged over 80. Support for people with dementia varies according to location and is fragmented at best. There is currently no cure and it is the leading cause of death in the country.

Our unique dementia hub, Sage House, transforms how community dementia services are delivered, accessible to anyone, pre and post a dementia diagnosis. Customers are supported by specialist staff with advice on issues like accessing benefits, keeping healthy, managing changing behaviour and providing emotional support to carers. Alongside are inclusive sessional activities for a healthy mind and body and a day respite service. We hope other communities can benefit from this dementia hub model.
