United Kingdom

There are currently at least 360,000 children & young people aged 0-24 in the UK who have disabilities affecting their mobility. Most will need specialist mobility equipment at some point in their lives, but the NHS is not currently able to meet need based on demand and high specification of equipment. The items we provide offer many benefits including, but not limited to, greater independence, reduced pain, improved muscular strength and co-ordination and enhanced self-esteem and mental health.

We fund vital, life-changing mobility equipment for disabled children and young people, enabling them to get out and live the life they choose. The item is recommended by their NHS clinical team but not funded by them and they need to turn to charities for assistance as they are not in a financial position to fund it themselves. Uniquely, and crucially, we also cover the cost of maintenance and repairs ensuring they always have a functioning chair that is meeting their needs.

  • We just wanted to thank you for helping Eliza achieve a dream. Her new trike is absolutely fantastic and we have enjoyed several bike rides as a family. Eliza loves her new wheels. She has been so happy - several ‘cuddlies’ have been chosen for the rides so far! A GREAT BIG THANK YOU from all of us
