Your help has been a blessing. I feel like I have my family when I see you
I appreciate your empathetic human approach. Very refreshing
I have been so impressed with your response. All my calls and emails are answered the same day- you don’t get that with community- based Advocacy providers who have more people and bigger budgets than you.
You guys can sit with the patient and you always find out so much more information than we do. Maybe it’s because you’re independent from the hospital and so they trust you more
Older, often vulnerable people, many without family, are often unable to leave hospital and return to their own home. Some need help with administrative issues and housing, all need their voice to be heard. Our advocates have, for 20+ years, represented the views of these patients in decisions taken about them, and helped them get, and stay, home. The charity is highly regarded by our NHS funders. We are aware of similar needs that are currently unmet in Bexley and at Kings College Hospital .
This money will enable us to create a business plan, prepare presentations to potential funders , to recruit and train extra Advocates and volunteers. Winning these contracts will enable a further 400-500 people to have Personalised professional help in resolving their issues, enabling them to go back home with greater peace of mind. A consequence of what would be achieved is freeing up of hospital beds for other patients. Each client has up to 10 issues that we are able to resolve.
