    Situation

Malawi is one of the world's poorest countries with 85% of the population relying on subsistence farming. Children in these remote villages of Malawi suffer and die unnecessarily because they have no realistic access to healthcare. Malaria, diarrhoea remain the leading causes of death in the under 5s. Malawian clinical officers and nurses are highly skilled in diagnosing these conditions if only they can access the patients and treat them.

    Solution

Our mobile clinic, a 4x 4 ambulance staffed with experienced clinicians and nurses trained in tropical medicine will travel to remote villages to deliver the desperately needed lifesaving medical care the children need. The mobile clinic will also deliver public health education to the parents and guardians of our patients to prevent disease outbreaks such as cholera.
