Europe doesn't want refugees. And so it's adopted the inhumane tactic of inflicting mental and physical suffering on people who are faraway from the comforts of their family, security or a sense of home. A cat and mouse game is played with human lives. If turbulent 2020 taught us anything, then surely it was that we #LeaveNoOneBehind and that #BlackLivesMatter? Devastatingly, the treatment of predominantly BAME Refugees in Europe doesn't reflect any such learnings.
Solution
However, everyday people are increasingly aware and in-turn appalled by the realities of Europe's response to refugees and have volunteered their time and energy and skills to do everything they can to show humanity, care and dignity to refugee communities.
