We are raising money to host an Art Exhibition to meet our aims of supporting older, isolated people. Many of us spent weeks isolated during Lockdown, this is the norm for many CARM clients. We are encouraging them to get involved in our Art Project and we'd love you to support us to support them.

Situation
Loneliness is an increasing epidemic, and is a particular problem in rural areas. Many older people are unable to leave their homes at all. It is well documented that social isolation and loneliness have significant detrimental impacts on physical health, for example increased risk of coronary heart disease, and mental health, and may even be linked to higher rates of suicide in men over 75.
Solution
In order to tackle the extra isolating situation of COVID-19 we have encouraged our clients to try new crafts, pick up old skills and just generally be creative. As we will hopefully return gradually to a new normal throughout 2021 we would like to bring this creativity together in a community art exhibition. This will not only celebrate the art works but also highlight 'lost' crafts that can be reignited. It will also serve as an historical capture of a moment in time - 'Lockdown Art'
