Carn To Cove touring programme

We want to support our local communities to re-introduce live performances to audiences in a safe environment. We want to support touring artists who have been hard hit by the closure of venues to play to paying audiences. We also want to raise the bar in presenting top quality work in rural spaces.

Situation

As lockdown eases, we want to support the local community spaces to re-introduce live performances to audiences in a safe and carefully managed environment. Our venues have been closed for several months and the ability for rural communities to come together for a shared cultural experience has been impossible to maintain. Audiences will feel nervous about re-entering communal spaces and yet there is a need to re-establish these social practices.

Solution

We will allow these familiar and trusted spaces to re-open to rural communities and by working with local promoters, support an ongoing programme of events from the Carn to Cove menu. The format of the concert new, different and Covid-safe -people can quietly come and go as they please, through a separate entrance and exit. Numbers will be restricted, according to the size and layout of each church, so that appropriate social distancing can be maintained at all times.
