Situated at the heart of one of London’s most diverse, exciting and economically challenged boroughs, Hackney Empire creates much-needed safe spaces for over 4,000 young people each year ensuring that young people of all backgrounds have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally. 2020 has been hard on our young people - following the isolation of lockdown many now face prolonged uncertainty about their futures which is in turn impacting on their mental health and confidence.

With over a decade’s experience of using arts to build connection, community and purpose. Hackney Empire is uniquely placed to engage some of the most isolated and at-risk young people from across our communities. We know that our young people are going to need additional support across 2021 and are committed to creating life-changing programmes which respond to their needs in these continued uncertain times.
