KPC is a grass roots charity based in Pyle, Nr Bridgend, set up in 1998. Our ethos continues to be to provide support for young people, many living in disadvantage, to have better opportunities in life, receive the support they deserve, and know someone wants them to be the best they can in life.

Situation
Ensuring young people have the necessary support and information to make the best choices in life, be listened to, be supported, by positive role models. We want to ensure their well-being and mental health are supported, to help them develop into well-rounded individuals who have aspirations in life, and self-belief. We want to ensure that they have a place where they can attend, meet with friends, know that someone cares about what is going on their lives, and give them some consistency.
Solution
By continuing to provide a supportive centre, where young people can obtain support they need, that is responsive, but also to have fun, develop relationships with people outside of their homes, and develop social and communication skills, and have a voice. We do this by providing a range of on-site activities - these may well be different going forward following Covid-19, but will be adapted to ensure we continue to provide accessible support - even if in some cases with more remote working.
