This campaign has now closed

The Covid-19 pandemic stripped young people of their routines and regular access to support services. From March 2020, we saw an explosion of young people needing our help. As a response, we are upscaling our services and increasing our opening hours to help even more young people in need.

    Situation

Our volunteers have witnessed how anxious, isolated and lonely young people have felt because of Coronavirus, and therefore they need more support than ever before. There has been a huge and increasing growth in young people using our helpline, web-chat, counselling and community boards. Additionally, there has been a total of 4,284 conversations with over 2000 young people through our Crisis Messenger between March and May 2020. They, like us, need you to help young people in crisis.

    Solution

We are ensuring that our support services are easily accessible for young people, whenever they need them. So far this year, we have had over five million unique users under 25 engaging with our organisation. This comes through counselling sessions, helpline users, social media, live chat, website traffic and our crisis messenger. We are expecting to reach even more young people now that our services are open for longer, but we need funding to maintain these extended opening hours.
