The Met exists to bring creativity and culture to our community. We are a music venue, a recording studio, a home of several performing arts workshops, and a house of independent artists. We believe in the power of creativity to uplift, inspire and include, and improve the wellbeing of many lives.

    Situation

Our community, the artists we work with, and the audiences we serve have had an incredibly challenging year. Through a period of extended isolation, which was felt particularly harshly by vulnerable people, people have lost access to cultural stimulation and entertainment which enhances their lives and improves their wellbeing. The livelihood of artists and creatives has been compromised, and the future of the cultural scene as a whole has been threatened.

    Solution

With your help, we can help our community recover. Through our work as a music venue, we can provide entertainment to our audiences, encourage new visitors to boost our local economy, and support emerging artists to get back on their feet. Our workshop offer will ensure that vulnerable people can once more find a safe space to interact and build key skills, and we can again provide a platform for independent creatives to bring their ideas to life and offer more support to communities in need.
