    Situation

Last year we worked with over 600 families, the majority of whom were affected by poverty, domestic violence, unemployment and poor housing, in addition to other challenges including separation, isolation, low self-confidence, and depression. We believe that demand for our services will only grow, as vulnerable clients experience heightened anxiety and hardship during the Covid-19 crisis, and face increased challenges when reintegrating and navigating a society touched by tragedy.

    Solution

We believe it is vital to work with the significant people in a child’s life in order to effect long term change. Our Parenting Programme is a core part of our service to vulnerable families where children are at risk. It is made up of a range of preventive therapy services, inc Group work (ParenTalk, Dads Matter, Mindfulness) and 1:1 services for individual parents and families. We work with the whole family to allow children to fulfil their potential by addressing issues at the earliest stage.
