Our mission is clear and single minded: young people should get the mental health support they need, when they need it. But covid-19 has devastated young people’s mental health and the services they rely on. With your donations, we can reach more young people now with the support they urgently need.

    Situation

Young people were in a mental health crisis before coronavirus. They told us stories of being turned away from their GP for ‘not being ill enough’ or waiting months to be referred to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Then lockdown happened. 83% of young people with mental health problems told us that the covid-19 pandemic had made their mental health worse, and parents feel like they need to be everything: teacher, parent, social worker. They need our support now more than ever.

    Solution

We’re here for the young people and parents who don’t know what to do or where to turn. Our Parents Helpline reaches 13,000 parents a year with practical advice they can directly take. Throughout lockdown, 300,000 young people have accessed our mental health guides. But there are many more households with young people and parents who are struggling, and together we need to do everything we can to help. But we can’t do this alone. Help us reach young people before they reach crisis point.
