The current pandemic is hitting poor communities the hardest. Help us provide information, critical advice, food and activities to isolated children and their families during the Covid-19 crisis and beyond. Each donation is doubled, so your support will have twice the impact. Thank you!

    Situation

In Westminster, 1 in 3 children live in poverty. Homelessness, overcrowding, hunger, and a lack of resources seriously impact their learning, social development and wellbeing. Many children need weekly support with after-school learning as parents lack resources or language skills. They rely on free school meals and often can’t afford to join sports or activities with their peers outside of school. Without somewhere to turn during this crisis and beyond, they face social isolation and hunger.

    Solution

We help over 150 families each year with learning, childcare, outdoor activities, advice, food vouchers, healthy cooking and cultural trips. Our 5 day-a-week programme is split between whole-family activities for parents with young children in the mornings, and after-school support for primary-school-aged children in the afternoons, as well as holiday programmes and a Saturday family club. During the COVID-19 crisis we are there for the most vulnerable families with food and essential advice.
