Brockwell Park Community Partners (BPCP) works to maintain and improve the ecology of Brockwell Park. In recent years it has helped to create a wildflower slope; plant over 170m of native mixed hedging along the western boundary; brought back to life the Victorian cottage garden by Norwood Lodge.

    Situation

Over the last 50 or more years the numbers and variety of most species has decreased substantially. One way to try and reverse this decline is to create habitats for birds, plants and insects.

    Solution

The charity continues to improve the habitats in Brockwell Park through maintaining the recently planted mixed hedging, enhancing the wildflower slope by the Lido, adding to the cottage garden at Norwood Lodge gate, or helping create the meadow to the Park's south west.
