ChoraChori needs to open a girls' shelter in rural southeast Nepal to allow us to fight child rape in those Districts. The shelter will offer protection and, through our new locally-based legal team, allow access to justice and ensure that rapists are put behind bars.

Situation
The incidence of reported rape in Nepal has quadrupled in the past ten years, with over half of the victims, minors. We wish to reverse that trend by setting up regional centres in south Nepal where the incidence is worst.
Solution
Our centres will provide safe shelters for victims where recovery can begin. Each will also have field staff that will include a legal team to ensure access to justice, proper response and investigation by the police and that rapists are convicted and jailed.
