DAZL is celebrating 20 years of serving the communities of Leeds & Now Wakefield. We as a charity deliver dance session across the cities for anyone aged 3 - 19 years (25 years with a disability). "Reducing Inequalities and tackling inactivity through asset-based community development and dance".

DAZL is celebrating 20 years of improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people. We tackle health inequalities and create safe spaces for young people. We create safe environments which allows them to express themselves artistically & personally through dance. Inclusivity and community cohesion is at the heart of all our work, whether that be: gender, race, religion, social/background, beliefs or disabilities. We want to bring communities together through performance and the arts
Solution
We will use the fund to support these fantastic opportunities and experiences for the young people across DAZL. This will celebrate the achievements from the past 20 years and create an artistic vision for the next 20 years. Community groups and people from across Leeds & Wakefield will have the opportunity to dance and create artistic work together. This encourages the young people to value, respect and celebrate each other’s differences through the power of the arts.
