Our Monday session is an especially tailored, quieter evening for children and young people with anxiety, additional learning needs, autistic spectrum conditions and difficulties with social interaction. Some are in care or are home-schooled. Isolation, bullying, anxiety and depression are common.

Situation
Children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions struggle to cope in busy, noisy and hectic environments, as do those youngsters with particular anxieties arising from trauma, bullying or isolation. However, they have the same needs to socialise and interact with their peers as they develop into young adults. They just need a safer and more supportive environment and additional care.
Solution
We will continue to run a special evening session on Mondays for these young people. This will include all of the normal games and activities, such as cooking, sports and gardening, that we would normally provide, and we would also like to have our music studio open that evening (additional staffing needed), because music and singing can provide the social breakthrough, the inspiration to try new things and the joy in many young people's lives.
