    Situation

For many Christmas is one of the bleakest times of the year. Difficulties seem highlighted. Many people struggle in silence. Many UK residents can be cut off from community. Often we don't talk about the difficult subjects especially at Christmas- after all isn't Christmas meant to be merry? But sometimes the nativity story can seem so far removed from todays troubles. What does a baby have to do with todays difficulties and can there really be light in the darkness?

    Solution

We are aiming to make 6 short films (3 this year) each to highlight issues of depression, un-forgiveness, bereavement, loneliness, stress and debt. Each short film can be used at carol concerts or on-line platforms/social media/Christian television to highlight these areas. Via the films website we will offer followup resources to help deal practically with these issues and deal spiritually with these issues by offering Christian resources and linking with local Alpha courses.
