For over 30 years 174 Trust has embedded its ethos of peace building into the heart of north Belfast, continually evolving to provide a wide range of essential community services. Most recently the organisation embraced arts and culture as a vehicle in community building, opening The Duncairn Centre for Culture and Arts as a heritage site in 2014.

    Situation

There is a lack of access available to people in deprived communities in north Belfast to participate and enjoy 'normal' activities associated with arts and culture and heritage.

    Solution

We will organise an annual programme of activity based in our own bespoke Arts Centre, a world class facility which transformed an old derelict church into a beautiful Arts Centre. In order to allow people to access fun, entertaining, educational programmes thus creating positive developments for their lives socially, emotionally, & educationally. Offering inclusive, supportive & stimulating activity to lead to a more fulfilling and whole life.
