    Situation

Camp Moria is Lesvos Island’s largest refugee camp, currently holding around 8,000 people. The camp is completely unsuitable for human habitation, with unsanitary, overcrowded and dangerous living conditions leading to an array of physical and mental health problems. Access to medical services in Moria is incredibly limited, and the local clinics and hospital are already overstretched with nearest facilities over an hours’ walk away.

    Solution

We operate a 7-day-per-week clinical service within the camp, and offer consultations, triage & referral to local hospitals, acute illness care, wound treatment and chronic disease management. We also work in collaboration with Peaceful Heart Network to provide Stress Regulation therapy to those suffering from stress and mental health issues. We also offer outreach to those who are too frail or unwell to attend the clinic.
