Situation
There are an estimated 90,000 vacancies for trustees in England and Wales. 75% of charities say that they struggle to find the trustees they need. Strong boards are needed for charities to thrive. We want to match people who have never considered being a trustee before or who don't know how to go about it, with charities who need their skills, experience and knowledge on their boards. 96% of trustees say they have learned new skills and 84% say it made them happier.
Solution
We will tour as many towns and cities as donations allow, with a target of 4 towns. In each town, we will deliver a Board Match Local roadshow to support individuals to learn more about the role of trustee and to match local charitable organisations currently needing trustees with individuals who want to become trustees.
