Our new school for girls in Kisarawe provides care and education for young girls aged 11 upwards living in extreme poverty in Tanzania. Without chance of an education and facing a future of early marriage and unending deprivation the first 150 girls were welcomed into the new Sisters of Mary school in May. They are keen to learn but we need English textbooks and school supplies to support their learning and help them reach the national level for exams next year.
Solution
We will use the funds raised to purchase school text books, dictionaries pens, pencils, notepads and all the equipment we need to help the girls learn during their lessons. With new books the girls can learn faster and improve their knowledge and acquire the skills they need to find work.
