Consortium for Street Children

Demanding Street Children's Rights Together

Our members work directly with street children and have the power to hold governments to account and demand their rights are upheld. We want to support them to use their influence. We will use innovative solutions to train our members, and children themselves, to speak up for street children.

  • "Give us the opportunity to change our story"

    — Street child boy from Brazil, age 18

Street children are often unable to stand up for their rights and are habitually denied necessities such as education, healthcare, and even food and shelter. Our members have direct access to these children, responding to their needs and providing services essential to their well-being and survival. They have the networks and influence to demand change at policy level, but there is currently no cheap, accessible training solution to support them in speaking up with and for street children.

We will develop e-learning materials and courses that train organisations and children to advocate for the rights of street children, both nationally and globally. We will provide cheap, sustainable training solutions which are culturally relevant and available in different languages, utilising expertise from street children, our members, and thought leaders across the sector. We will also create a pool of skilled trainers, working at grassroots level and ensuring their voices are heard.
