  • Doorway has helped me in all areas from budgeting to mental health issues. I always found them very supporting and trustworthy and without their support I would probably be still struggling with my food and finances.

  • Doorway have been amazing from the beginning, helping me get furniture to being someone to talk to. They have supported me even though I was sceptical to begin with. I would 100% recommend the help of Doorway to anyone that needs it.

This year around 86.000 young people will be homeless. Welfare reforms and a worsening housing crisis have increasingly taken away young people’s options. Many of the young people we see are trapped in a cycle of homelessness, moving from sofa to sofa, not knowing where they will sleep each night.

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Nuneaton & Bedworth Mayor Doorway is buying its first ever property and young people will be able to live here at low rent levels set according to an amount young homeless people can afford to pay. It will provide a solid foundation on which our residents can move on to the next stage of their lives in education or employment.
