Dandelion Time are relocating to a nearby property in Spring 2020. We will require a natural craft studio and workspace so that we can continue to offer craft activities that are such a vital part of our therapeutic programme supporting vulnerable children and families.

    Situation

Children’s mental health issues are rising in the UK, and the needs of the children referred to Dandelion Time cannot be met. We help children with very challenging emotional issues, often resulting from trauma, violence or abuse. Our approach is family based and creates opportunities for new beginnings and improved relationships, valuing the importance of being in a peaceful environment, absorbing children in calming hands on natural craft activities.

    Solution

Our approach offers a non-medical systemic model working experientially with the natural world and crafts to heal relationships and address the root causes of the cycle of abuse and neglect. Using natural craft activities, we help families to overcome the difficulties they are facing and build stronger bonds. Children develop resilience and have achieved remarkable and long-lasting changes in their lives as a result of coming to Dandelion Time.
