Dulwich Picture Gallery exhibits famous, neglected artists, like Winifred Knights, and invites audiences to give them a second chance. Within the world’s first purpose-built public art gallery, we will use our exhibition space to make new explorations of the silent heroes of Modern British art.

Situation
Many lesser-known Modern British artists have been overlooked and side-lined in favour of big names. Often these artists are female or have belonged to a celebrated set of painters and sat out of the limelight. As a result significant areas of modern art history and knowledge are in danger of being lost, masterpieces are not being seen and incredible talents are being forgotten.
Solution
We will tell the unique stories of these overlooked artists in the intimate setting of John Soane’s beautiful building. The curators we work with are experts in their field. They have often spent their careers researching an artist’s life and are now read
