Women living with disabilities in Addis Ababa face discrimination, stigma and marginalization in every area of their lives. By documenting their experiences and raising awareness of the barriers they face, this project will help the inclusion of women with disabilities in wider Ethiopian society.

Situation
Women in Ethiopia are discriminated in every area of their lives. Women with disabilities face double discrimination, both in terms of their gender and their disability. Ethiopian society has widespread negative attitudes towards people with disabilities, with many seeing disability as a punishment for bad deeds. As a result, women with disabilities are largely excluded from public life and are often stuck in a cycle of dependency, isolation, violence and poverty.
Solution
This project will use the lived experiences of women with disabilities to highlight the barriers they face in accessing public services, navigating the city and engaging in paid work and decision making in their communities. Through engaging government of
