    Situation

The general affluence in Surrey conceals hidden deprivation and social exclusion. Art and creativity can promote greater well-being and social cohesion of our community. However, those most in need, including prisoners, young offenders, the homeless, excluded pupils and people with mental illness have little access to art. In the wider community, there is a lack of awareness of local cultural heritage and traditional crafts. These valuable skills and knowledge are at risk of being lost.

    Solution

The Art For All Programme will reach out to the community through practical art skills courses and activities tailored to suit the needs of different groups. By embracing G F Watts's ethos 'Art for All', we aim to give as many people as possible a chance
