Since the day of the earthquake, our teams in Nepal have been working on the ground to support injured, disabled and older people. More than 17,800 people have been injured. We are providing vital post-surgical rehabilitation care and medical equipment such as wheelchairs and splints.

    Situation

    More than 17,800 people have been injured in Nepal. In the week following the earthquake, 65% of the people needing our support had suffered fractures and 12% had sustained spinal injuries. It is paramount that the wounded are taken care of immediately to reduce the risk of long-term disabilities.
