    Situation

    Since the beginning of hostilities between Israel and Hamas on 8 July, more than 1,900 people have been killed (over 72% civilians) and over 9,000 injured, including children. More than 490,000 people are estimated to have been forced from their homes. Water and sewage systems are not functioning, and there is almost no electricity.

    Solution

    CAFOD's partners Catholic Relief Services and Caritas Jerusalem are working around the clock to reach displaced Palestinian families. Despite the danger from on-going attacks, they are on the ground providing food, hygiene kits and basic household items,
