World Vision will help reduce the suffering and protect the lives of at least 100,000 survivors of the Nepalese earthquake in some of the worst affected areas in Nepal. WV particularly focuses on children who are vulnerable, some of whom will have lost or been separated from parents.

On 25th April, a powerful earthquake struck Nepal. Estimates for the death toll currently stand at over 4.000 with over 6,000 people injured. These will continue to rise over the coming days. 8 million people are affected, many in need of humanitarian assistance. The earthquake has resulted in widespread damage and destruction, leaving families exposed to the elements, in fear, with few possessions left and no access to food or drinking water.
