There are high incidences of anti-social behaviour in the area and this is compounded by a lack of weekend youth provision. Many local young people have behavioural & learning difficulties and are easily distracted and led by peers into disruptive and criminal actions. The prevalence of drugs and ease of access, also leads to increased anti-social and criminal behaviour, mental and physical health issues and raises a negative profile of young people in the area amongst older community members.

The provision will engage young people in a variety of positive activities that divert from anti-social behaviour and produce social and practical opportunities for informal learning. Extended youth engagement will reduce the opportunity for, and incidenc
