Over one million people have fled fighting in Syria, more than half of them are children. World Vision is working with the most vulnerable refugee families in Lebanon to meet their essential needs and provide children with safe places to play and come to terms with what has happened.

The two-year conflict in Syria has forced over one million people to flee, thousands of whom have entered Lebanon. In the last four months, with increasing violence in Syria, the latest estimates are of over 360,000 Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The majority of the refugees are living in temporary accommodation, with host families or collective shelters. The most pressing needs are food, shelter, psychosocial support and household items such as cooking pots and hygiene supplies.


World Vision has a longstanding presence in Lebanon implementing humanitarian and development programming. World Vision is expanding its support to Syrian refugees, to benefit 150,000 people in the next six months. The focus of the refugee response will b
