“We do not know what the future holds… but we will never forget the look on her face today. Thank you."
“You are as important to us as the surgeon that saved his life”
“You gave us more than a holiday, you gave us our family back”
There are currently over 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a serious illness. These children are often facing painful treatments, gruelling side-effects and missing out on the childhood so many of us take for granted. When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness it has a huge impact on the entire family. Caring for a seriously ill child can mean parents giving up work to be by their bedside, brothers and sisters feeling overlooked, and precious family time is lost.
Granting wishes - these can be as unique as the children themselves and give them with the chance to be children again. From being a princess to enjoying a magical family holiday at Lapland. Wishes involve the entire family and create precious memories. Bringing Sunshine to Hospitals – Our activity days are designed to reduce the sense of isolation by bringing entertainment and distraction to children receiving treatment. These events range from bedside performers to delivering Christmas gifts.
