    Situation

Many young singers and opera professionals leave formal education without any real knowledge or hands on experience of what it means to work for an opera company. Young singers & opera professionals are often required to work long hours for little in return, often in roles that do not showcase their talent or future potential.

    Solution

Each year, we audition around 400 singers currently in training, and offer opportunities to the most promising performers. The season’s operas are then chosen to suit the particular talents of the company of singers. We give singers, music staff and stage professionals a platform for their talents to be developed and showcased so they can be seen in leading roles by by agents, casting directors, and heads of music of the UK’s great opera houses. In doing so we help to launch the careers of many.
