Situation
We hope to involve the Chinese youth community in London to become involved in the idea of their community signing on the organ donor register and help to remove some of the myths involved . We recently held an awareness event in Camden with the community and hope to extend this to involve the youth centre.This is an event which will hopefully break down some of the barriers and knit our two communities together so we can continue this effect throughout the country and expand into other minority ethnic groups.This work is of vital importance because we are desperately short of ethnic organ and tissue donors as well as blood and other groups. We are also becomming involved with the South Asian community as well as Black and African Caribbean communities.
