Christian Aid has launched an appeal to provide immediate help to those suffering in Pakistan. Christian Aid is responding to some of the most affected communities our response includes food distribution, shelter and emergency health care to around 70,000 people.

Pakistan is facing the worst floods in 80 years after experiencing intense monsoon rainfalls since July 21st. It is reported that 1,400 have died and 27,000 remain trapped by water. A further 3 million people have been affected by the loss of their home or livelihood as entire villages have been submerged. There is an urgent need for food, clean water, medical care and emergency shelter to save lives and reduce risks such as the spreading of waterborne diseases
