Composers emerging from music college can find it difficult to make the transition from full time education to the professional world. As a result many outstanding creative talents are lost. Most composers will not have had the opportunity to write for professionals and will have had little or no experience of the commissioning process, including the pressures of producing top class work to tight deadlines. Debut Sounds aims to prepare emerging composers for the realities of the music business.
