Time is running out, we need to raise £350,000 for Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton or we will have to give the match funding back to the Government. We need you to help us. We know the people of Hampshire are generous people they raise money for lots of causes but a lot of money raised by Hampshire people goes out of the County – the money we are raising is specifically to help Hampshire charities and community groups, and with an uncertain future ahead for many of them we are keen not to lose this available money. The Government Grassroots Endowment Challenge will match fund £1 for £1 anything put into the local Endowment fund as long as it is not statutory money.

Situation
This year we have donations and pledges totalling nearly £400,000 but we still have another £350,000 that we can claim for the people across Hampshire before the 31st March 2010. We’ve been working hard all year but we’re only a small organisation of 6 people and it’s been a huge task especially as we have also been busy distributing more than £1.2 million to charities and community groups across the County. Monies raised will be doubled and go on to provide long term support for charity groups community groups and community clubs across Hampshire these include. We just need everyone in Hampshire who cares about their local people and communities and who are in a position to help in a small way to send us whatever they can. We have designed a special Logo which you can download from the HIWCF website (www.hantscf.org.uk) and use on your company website or your facebook to show your support for your local community – Join in today.
