Globally, 450 million people currently suffer from mental disorders according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), and over three-quarters of them live in the developing world. Only 10-20% of those receive any form of treatment whatsoever. What’s more, mental and neurological disorders directly account for 13% of the global disease burden worldwide making it one of the largest contributors to global disability and death.This is a serious and urgent problem.
