Elefriends is our new and growing online community where people support each other with their mental health problems. Co-designed by the community, we believe Elefriends has the potential to connect people to one another so that no one, anywhere, has to face a mental health problem alone.

Situation
For the 1 in 4 people with a mental health problem, isolation is a big problem. Social anxiety may make it difficult to maintain friendships and agoraphobia prevents some from leaving their home. Insomnia is common amongst those struggling with their mental health; support is often needed most in the middle of the night. Social networking provides an opportunity to give and receive support 24 hours a day. But not all online communities are safe and supportive.
Solution
