    Situation

Floods are an everyday reality in Bangladesh, so many people rely and rice and fish farming to make a living. But small-holder farmers do not have access to innovative, hardier seed varieties and fish stocks. Neither do they have access to the necessary knowledge and networks to improve their yields particularly during uncertain weather. This means their incomes are not stable over the long term and they can't be sure of enough food supply.

    Solution

The project will improve smallholder farmers’ technical knowledge by supporting with capital support and training in: the construction and maintenance of floating fish cages, using locally available materials; feeding and harvesting of improved fish stock
