We will provide environmental education for children in multi-cultural and multi-faith urban environments. We will run programmes in West London and based on the experience gained there develop materials to equip teachers across the UK to teach outdoor environmental education.

Situation
If children experience nature, they care about it and want to conserve it, but children today, especially urban children, are losing their connection with their local natural environment. Reports state that children today spend less time in natural areas than previous generations, and children from ethnic minorities are almost half as likely to go outdoors. UK schools are not prioritising learning in natural environments, largely due to the lack of teacher’s confidence, competence and capacity.
Solution
We will provide environmental education in multicultural urban environments focusing on engaging children from ethnic minorities. We will bring classroom groups in West London to Minet Country Park for our onsite programming. We will apply our experience
