To help people in North Dorset with sight loss maintain full, healthy, independent and socially active lives notwithstanding their sight loss. The service also provides help and support for the family and carers of people with sight loss.

Situation
The problems of isolation, loneliness and depression which easily affect people with sight loss, especially older people living in rural areas with little or no accessible community services or public transport.
Solution
By providing a bespoke service which gives those people regular access to specialist advice, equipment and support and an ongoing and regular visit from a trained volunteer who will help with simple everyday living tasks and provide friendship and social
