St John Passion Recording

Record Bach's St John Passion providing a new perspective that includes participation of a congregational choir in the chorales thus reviving the appropriate context for this masterpiece. The project will generate employment opportunities for our musicians and strengthen the ties with our audience.

Bach's Passions represent one of the cultural pillars in the Western European music tradition. There are key elements of the connection between the roots of these performances and its present cultural significance have largely been lost. Dunedin specialises in the provision of early and contemporary music. There are few opportunities for artists and audiences in this field in Scotland.
