White Lodge Centre

Keep Us Together

We support 150 adults with disabilities through our adult centre, “Rendezvous”. Voluntary income is essential for it to survive. Your help will enable this lifeline to continue so disabled adults can keep active, socialising, baking, painting, learning, receiving essential physiotherapy.

Donations open 12:00 PM, 3 December 2019 to 12:00 PM, 10 December 2019

  • It’s such an inclusive place and everyone is on equal terms no matter what their ability. I love the social side, meeting people, the banter – it’s an important psychological boost.

    — Stewie

  • The services they provide are literally a lifeline.

  • White Lodge is the best thing that ever happened to me. From not being able to move, talk or stand, I have made unbelievable improvement.

    — Stewart

All the adults who come to “Rendezvous” have severe physical/learning disabilities as a result of cerebral palsy, acquired brain damage, MS, Parkinsons, stroke. Many are unable to walk, talk, are in continual pain and require intensive specialist support. Disability is very isolating. We want to be able to continue providing essential services to this vulnerable community as well as breaking down the isolation of disability – supporting every individual’s physical as well as mental well-being.

We help disabled adults stay as independent and healthy as possible, for as long as possible, as well as providing opportunities to have fun and socialize. Rendezvous is the heart for all leisure activities, socializing, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, the specialist gym and fitness sessions. “Rendezvous is simply a lifeline for me and many others. I’ve made so many friends here, can take part in activities that others take for granted and access essential therapies – all under the one roof" (John)
